Blow me down!!
The Warhammer jitters are back! Everytime my inbox is graced by their noble newsletters, I feel my pulse increasing and that familiar twitch is back in my eye. The dwarven engineer in particular brings tears of joy to my eyes. Blessed be, blessed be,…
They’ve a new cinematic trailer as well *drool*

Thats just an insane amount of coolness! Theres nothing more awesome than a stuntie spitting slugs of lead from a distance covered by an automated repeater rifle turret and a bunch of assorted mines and grenades!
Ah bless the launch date and let it be near…
Virtual Villages
Things are still hectic, being the first week of the semester, students are slowly trickling in.
The first week of the semester is primarily a week to get to know the students and there would generally be no tutorials yet. Wouldn’t want to scare the students now would we? Apparently through experience, they realized that if they started the tutorials too soon, the % of students flopping out mid-semester increase.
It’s great that I’ve got some breather time to finish my module outlines and tutorials notes. Theres just not enough time.
As for staffroom diversions, Virtual Villagers 3:The Secret City is keeping me pretty occupied. The darn nitwits in my village keep starving to death. you’d think by now after surviving VV1 & VV2, they’d remember how to grow crops but memory retention seems to be a defect that these villagers have.

It always boils down to some sick incestuous inbreeding fest.
Diablo 3
Rejoice!
Diablo 3 hath been revealed and it is looking good albeit somewhat similiar to it’s predecessors.
Still full of hack’n’slash goodness, the gameplay trailer on the website reveals extremely well-done animation and physics! Even if I wasn’t a true hardcore fan of the first two Diablos, this looks like another must-get title for me.
Their website is also another plus for them. It’s amazing!
Gaming Frenzy
I’ve decided to bring my XBOX360 out of hibernation and work it a little. I’ve just picked up a second-hand copy of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six : Vegas 2. I picked that over the much praised Call of Duty IV but it remains to be seen whether I made the right choice.
These are definately on my ‘must buy’ list -
- Fallout 3 (XBOX360)
- Fable 2 (XBOX360)
- Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning (PC)
- Majesty 2 : Fantasy Kingdom Sim (PC)
- Dungeon Runners (MMO) (PC)
These looks good but will depend on budget. YES I actually have a monthly allocation for games! How nerdy!
- GTA IV (XBOX360)
- Spiderman : Web of Shadows (XBOX360) Looks pretty sweet.
