It is my fifth day and so far I can’t say if its the best place to work. Everyone is really friendly and great but there is that persistant fear of the powers that be that hangs over the place like a cloud. Still I find many are going about as usual and if they can survive in such an environment, then why not I?
Yeah! Just stumbled across the new Hellboy movie which is due out in July. July 11th to be exact (not sure locally though). Tis’ to be directed once again by Guillermo del Toro, also of Pan’s Labyrinth fame. This is seriousl going to be on my ‘to-watch’ list.
Its pathetic but since the last post about my new place, I’ve uhm,… left it…
YES, I quit.
I’ve gotten another job offer that makes so much more sense. Spending long hours for nothing in return just doesn’t cut it as much as it used to. You can either work for the money or for the glamour. I guess in broadcasting, it was kind of cool to work on tv shows and such but it just wasn’t where I wanted to be at this point of my life.
Well, it was a good experience.
The future of ‘me’ is going to be right smack in the desolate wastelands of Cyberjaya. I’ve gotten an offer to lecture there and while some may think it’s crazy to go there, I see a potential for myself there which I just can’t let down. Furthermore, it’s going to be games design for me bwahahaha.
Yes! I will be in the games design department! How fleegin cool is that? Its like nerdgasm!
I’ve even gotten a place to stay there as I REALLY don’t want to be travelling up and down from Cyber to Deejay. It’s insane and anyone that travels through the Puchong LDP can attest to that. I’ll be living with a couple of MMU students but I guess that’s more appropriate than living with LUCT students. Something about lecturer student relations or something.
Cyberia smarthomes (where I’ll be living) is a decent enough place, the management must be middle-aged based on the way they just let everything go to fat. One of their carparks was even submerged in water. I thought that was really poor planning on their behalf. Beggers can’t be choosers and so that’s where I’ll be for the time being.
Call me if anyone is stupid enough to wander into Cyberjaya anytime soon. WooTs.
